What we collect
- Your name and email address, so we can send you your team's photos afterward.
- Your home ZIP or postal code and your country. Never your street address.
- The photos and videos your team takes, and where and when each one was taken.
- How your team played: which challenges you completed, which bonus questions you answered, and the points you earned.
- The wording of the release you signed, the name you typed to sign it, and the time you signed.
Why we collect it
Three reasons, and no others. To run the hunt and get your photos to you. To use the photos and videos in A Little Local Flavor's own marketing, which is what the release you sign covers. And to understand where Nashville's visitors come from and what they do while they are here.
That last one is why we ask for your home ZIP code. We may publish what we learn from it as aggregated research. Nothing we publish identifies an individual, and any group too small to be anonymous is folded into a larger one before it leaves us.
Self-guided hunts
On a free self-guided hunt (a bachelorette party, a family trip), the deal is the same release: A Little Local Flavor may feature the party's photos and videos in its own marketing, including a weekly reel of favorite moments. Anything you or your organizer hides in the app is hidden everywhere: it leaves the party's gallery and reel, and we never use it. On a family hunt, photos that show children are only ever used if the parent who signed up said yes to that at signup. The default is no.
Your recap reel is made from your party's own uploads and is yours to keep and post.
Who sees it
A Little Local Flavor, and the services we need to run the hunt: our own server, and the email service that sends your photos. We do not sell your information, and we do not hand it to an advertising network.
Your guide sees your first name and your team's photos during the hunt. Other guests see the photos at the finale and in the gallery link we email.
Location
Your phone attaches a precise location to each photo and video when you allow it. We keep that precise location with the photo for our own use, because it is how we plan routes and find the spots that photograph well.
It is never published. Any report or export we produce rounds the location to about a city block. Where our server tools allow, we remove the phone's own location data from the copies of videos we hand out.
